Baan Ayakarn factory house
Baan Ayakarn factory house
Project : Kanom Baan Ayakarn Factory House
Location : Nonthaburi
Area : 120 sq.m
The design project began with a former parking area in front of a factory, where the original roof structure remained.
The site posed certain limitations, with two large structural columns and a restricted usable space.
The designer reimagined the factory’s original entrance and transformed it into a charming little dessert café,
infused with a warm, Thai-home ambiance. The tone features deep olive green, vintage tiles, and golden teak wood,
contrasted with the soft white of the building façade. A shaded seating area under the trees creates the feeling of
enjoying sweets in a serene garden home.
From the outside, arched wooden window frames peek through the surrounding greenery, with the backdrop of the “Baan Ayakarn” Thai dessert factory subtly present. The entrance welcomes guests with a wooden gate reminiscent of stepping into a cozy home, while the factory’s original iron door kept in its original color remains as a gentle reminder that this is still the heart of Baan Ayakarn : a producer of fresh, traditional Thai desserts delivered across the country.
